Adelphi University’s Online MBA Program Helped Delaney Kiendra Find a New Path

Delaney Kiendra began her academic journey at Adelphi University as an undergrad student, and had such a great experience she decided to stick with her alma mater for her master’s degree.
She earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management with a specialization in human resources in December, 2024. Delaney is on track to graduate with her MBA exactly one year later. This time around, she chose to pivot her specialization to supply chain management.
She credits the university and her internship for helping her discover her new career path. “It really was awesome to see how my education at Adelphi fed into my internship,” she noted. “And things that I’ve learned from my internship, I’ve been able to bring back to my courses.”
Adelphi’s dedicated faculty elevated Delaney’s education, as the coursework provided valuable experience to apply in her career.
“My graduate experience with faculty has been nothing short of excellence,” she said. “The MBA program is a hands-on experience where you get to collaborate with classmates and work on projects and real-world scenarios. The faculty and staff expect a lot from you, but they’re also there to give advice and feedback.”
Delaney was an on-campus student during her undergrad years, but she decided to pursue her MBA online. However, she’s still connected to student life while enrolled in a fully online program. She pledged with a sorority, became president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAC), and she’s a valuable member of Adelphi’s volleyball team. She says she wouldn’t be able to juggle all of that without the flexibility of online learning.
“My overall experience with online learning has been amazing. It’s something that has been flexible, and also has allowed me to be myself and grow,” Delaney said “It’s given me the opportunities to do things like compete at the national level in NCAA tournaments for volleyball, but also join other student organizations like Delta Sigma Pi and meet a bunch of new people from a bunch of different places, which has been awesome. It has given me the opportunity to do other things like pursue internships and jobs that I normally would not have been able to do if I were a traditional in-person student.”
Her advice for other prospective students is to live in the now: “Your college experience is truly what you make of it. So grab a hold and seize the day.”
